Credit markets are about to face their most significant shift in recent years as the US Federal Reserve prepares to raise rates and mainland China continues to clamp down on lending to developers.

To find out what these trends mean for Asia residential real estate markets, Mingtiandi has assembled a panel of experts from Haitong Securities International, Phoenix Property Investors, JLL and law firm Greenberg Traurig for a panel discussion focused on credit strategies for residential markets in Asia Pacific at 10:00 AM Hong Kong time on Thursday, 31 March.

The one hour discussion, Trends in Residential Finance, which is sponsored by Yardi, is the fifth and final session in the Mingtandi APAC Residential Forum 2022, and has already had more than 300 industry professionals register to attend.

Markets on the Move

Among the industry professionals leading the interactive session will be Nick Shi, a managing director who serves as global head of real estate investment with Haitong International, the Hong Kong-based branch of mainland China investment bank Haitong Securities.

Joining the talk from Sydney will be Trent Winduss, a partner with Phoenix Property Investors, who serves as head of Asia structured debt investments and head of Australia for the regional private equity firm.

Tuning in from Tokyo will be Joel H Rothstein, shareholder and chair of the Asia real estate practice with global law firm Greenberg Traurig.

Providing a global perspective on how Asian real estate credit markets compare to those in other markets around the world will be Paul Brindley, head of debt advisory with the Asia Pacific capital markets team at JLL, who joins the online interaction from Singapore.

Join the Action

Following the discussion among the panelists, Mingtiandi has organised a live Q&A session, so that members of the audience can ask questions of our panelists and learn more about how real estate credit markets operate in the territory which they cover around Asia Pacific.

The Trends in Residential Finance panel will wrap up Mingtiandi’s APAC Residential Forum, before MTD TV returns in May with our APAC Logistics Forum, which will explore warehouse markets in Japan, Greater China, Korea, Southeast Asia and more.

Additional information on that event series is available here.
