Hong Kong’s biggest buyer of commercial sites in its Central district leads this week’s roundup of personnel moves as Henderson Land reaches into the leadership of one of its rivals for more leasing firepower. Also making the list are promotions and new hires at Colliers, Sino Group and New World’s K11 division.

Tom Andrews Henderson LandHongkong Land veteran Tom Andrews has joined Henderson Land Development in Hong Kong as a director heading leasing and operations for the HKEX-listed builder, according to a LinkedIn announcement. With Henderson in the midst of leasing its The Henderson office project in Central, and with the company now developing its project at Site 3, next to the IFC, Andrews’ more than nine years of experience leasing Hongkong Land’s Central portfolio could be put to good use in his new role.

Colliers announced earlier this month that it has hired US real brokerage veteran Mike Davis as managing director for Asia Pacific with its occupier services team, based in Singapore. Having stepped into his new role on 6 February, Davis is charged with leading the company’s services to multinational occupiers and joins the property consultancy after serving as president of brokerage services with US commercial property agency Binswanger in Washington, DC. He also has prior experience with CBRE and JLL, including a two-year stint with JLL in Singapore from 2010 through 2012.

amy lee sino hotelsAmy Lee has been promoted to group director of marketing with Sino Hotels and Fullerton Hotels and Resorts, according to a LinkedIn update. Based in Hong Kong, Lee received her most recent step up after just over a year and a half as deputy general manager for hotel marketing and projects with Sino. Lee also has previous experience with Galaxy Entertainment Group in Macau as well as with Hong Kong’s Miramar Group.

carrie liang k11Carrie Liang has taken a step up to general manager for leasing with K11 Concepts in Hong Kong, getting an upgrade after more than three years as an assistant general manager with the same department at the commercial division of HKEX-listed New World Development. Liang has now been with K11 and New World since 2012 and also has previous experience as a management trainee with Swire Properties.

Tabitha Saw MoFo2Morrison Foerster announced on 5 February that Tabitha Saw has joined the US law firm as a partner, based in Singapore. Signing up with the firm after more than nine years with rival White & Case, Saw is part of both the transactions department and the global private equity real estate group at Morrison Foerster and has previously advised on the formation of multiple capital raising platforms across Asia Pacific, according to a statement from the firm.

Ruchika ChoudahaColliers announced on 6 February that it has hired Ruchika Choudaha to lead its office services in Pune. Appointed as senior director and head of office services, Choudaha takes over Colliers’ top commercial leasing spot in the city in Maharashtra state after around a decade with Cushman & Wakefield in the city, where she served most recently as an associate director. She also has previous experience with JLL in the city south of Mumbai.

Emilia LopezNikota Realty said on 7 February that it has brought on board Emilia Lopez as director of client services ex-Japan for the division of advisory firm Nikota Capital. Lopez now advises individual investors on residential and land transactions in central Tokyo, Niseko and the Nagano area for the Japan-based firm. Prior to joining Nikota she served as head of development and sales for Pavilion Hotels and Resorts.
