Mingtiandi is usually known more for words than for images, but sometimes a photo tells the story of China’s real estate industry better than any amount of analysis.

Below is an image of the Shanghai Tower under construction in Pudong’s Lujiazui area, flanked by the Shanghai World Financial Center on the left and the Jinmao Tower on the right.
